Chi Lin Nunnery of Hong Kong is a group of Tang style Buddhist monastic timber buildings of the Pure Land School built in the late twentieth century. It adopts the traditional Chinese courtyard-house layout. The buildings are magnificent and imposing, providing an elegant and quiet place for nuns from all quarters to live and practice together. Enshrined in the various halls are statues of Sakyamuni Buddha, Bhaisajyaguru, Amita Buddha, Avaolkitesvara Boddhisattva, and Ksitigarbha Boddhisattva etc. The Buddhist statues look graceful and merciful, wishing the faithful good fortune, and increase in wisdom and virtues.

Nan Lian Garden is a Chinese landscape garden after the natural style of Tang dynasty. Water features are the focal point of the Garden. The springs and ponds, hillocks and rocks, trees and plants, pavilions and bridges, and winding paths together form a scenic garden to be enjoyed by a one-way circular route. The Garden follows the traditional Chinese landscape gardening techniques. The art of borrowing, screening, and extending views and sound insulation are applied to create this serene garden which is both exquisite and elegant.

The temple would be reached from MTR Wong Tai Sin Station Exit B2. Thousands of visitors are coming to this temple praying for peace and prosperity. The temple is designed basing on Rules of 5 nature elements, and reveals the traditional spirit of Chinese architecture.
